The role involves leading the design and development of server products within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to create innovative solutions that meet customer needs. This position requires a focus on performance, quality, and cost while overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept to production. You will also monitor the quality of deployed servers and ensure they meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience.
  • Experience in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
  • 5+ years experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in the product development and manufacturing processes.
  • In-depth expertise in one or more server technologies such as thermal/mechanical design, high-speed bus design, and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the design and development of server products utilizing various design and manufacturing partners.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
  • Oversee the fleet of servers developed, monitoring their quality and customer requirement fulfillment.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve product performance, quality, and cost.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
