Job description

The Senior Manager – Maintenance at Rivian is responsible for leading maintenance teams and implementing standardized processes across various departments. This role focuses on enhancing equipment reliability and performance while interfacing with engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance, particularly in the automotive sector, and will drive continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in automotive or automotive component maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Solid understanding of management principles such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and performance management.
  • Expert-level experience in the development and implementation of CMMS systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with concepts of reliability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance teams to reduce MTTR and increase MTBF.
  • Implement and drive problem-solving techniques to understand root causes of failures.
  • Support JPH and OEE improvements through continuous improvement and project work.
  • Develop improvement strategies in collaboration with Reliability & Maintainability teams.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations while focusing on leading metrics.
  • Optimize maintenance tasks through predictive and preventative methodologies.
