This role involves building the orchestration layer for Amazon's Responsive E-Commerce ad creative system, impacting billions of ad impressions daily. The team consists of 8 engineers based in Seattle, focusing on platform infrastructure that connects creative selection, layout configuration, and rendering systems. Engineers will work at the intersection of distributed systems and ad tech, ensuring clean interfaces and configuration-driven architectures. The position requires collaboration with multiple partner teams and emphasizes operational excellence in software development.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design and implement scalable system integrations and API contracts between various systems.
• Develop and maintain configuration-as-code solutions while managing downstream impact on production traffic.
• Build operational excellence into the software development lifecycle including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot cross-system issues in the ad serving pipeline.
• Collaborate with partner teams on integration designs and technical decisions.
