Job description

The Manufacturing Test Development Engineer for AI Infrastructure at Google will be part of a team focused on developing custom silicon solutions that enhance Google's consumer products. This role involves collaborating with various teams to optimize test platforms for computing and storage servers. The engineer will leverage their expertise to drive improvements in test processes and ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes. The position is critical in shaping the future of hardware experiences and delivering exceptional performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in test engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and integrating manufacturing Rack/L11 test hardware using custom electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation.
  • Experience coding in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting to generate product-specific test plans and execute test processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, optimize and deploy Rack and L11 test platforms for Google compute/storage/ML server at the global manufacturing partner factory.
  • Collaborate with the NPI team to define Design for Test (DFT) requirements and provide input to manufacturing test strategy.
  • Provide caliber manufacturing test engineering support for new and existing products.
  • Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies, test coverage, and reduce cost.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause manufacturing yield issues and data center field escapes, while driving sustaining test issues to closure with corrective and preventive measures.
