Job description

As a Product Data Scientist on the Discover Experiences team at Google, you will play a crucial role in supporting growth initiatives for the Discover product. Your work will involve analyzing growth trends, interpreting product launches, and identifying new opportunities for expansion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences and drive product improvements. This position offers the chance to impact billions of users globally through innovative data-driven strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of work experience with analysis applications, coding in Python, R, or SQL, or 2 years with a Master's degree.
  • Master's degree in a relevant quantitative field is preferred.
  • Experience working as a Data Scientist on a tech product team is preferred.
  • Experience with experimentation analysis on digital products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and report on Discover growth, drivers of growth, and launch/holdback analysis.
  • Support surface expansion and broader Discover Growth initiatives.
  • Articulate and size new growth opportunities for Discover.
  • Understand the broader Discover Ecosystem and how various elements interact from the user's perspective.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on launch analysis, product iteration, and impact quantification.
