Job description

The CO+I Senior Electrical Engineer at Microsoft plays a crucial role in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for various online services. This position involves managing electrical systems across a global portfolio of datacenters, ensuring safety, security, and compliance. The engineer will support 24x7 operations and act as a technical authority for mission-critical electrical systems. Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Responsibilities

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities.
  • Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
  • Understand the design and functionality of the datacenter.
  • Support 24x7x365 on-site datacenter operations and electrical infrastructure.
  • Act as the technical authority for on-site operations related to large-scale mission-critical electrical systems.
  • Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining highly redundant electrical designs.
  • Manage the electrical infrastructures throughout the datacenter campus.
