As a Senior Systems Engineer in Uber's Autonomous Mobility & Delivery group, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of technical frameworks that facilitate integration with various autonomous vehicle partners. This role combines elements of robotics, safety-critical systems, and complex platform integration. You will work closely with the Autonomous Mobility and Delivery Safety team to develop safety solutions and influence strategic decisions. Your expertise will help shape the future of autonomous transportation at Uber.

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a significant focus on complex hardware/software integrations.
• Proven track record in the Autonomous Vehicle industry, specifically within safety-critical systems.
• Experience with V&V methodologies such as ISO 26262 and SOTIF/ISO 21448.

• Develop and standardize technical safety solutions and frameworks for diverse autonomous vehicle tech providers and AV fleet operators.
• Lead the elicitation and documentation of high-level and detailed system safety requirements for Uber's proprietary autonomous technology.
• Design comprehensive Verification and Validation strategies for internal Uber solutions and external AV partner systems.
• Lead technical safety risk assessments to ensure all AV partner integrations meet Uber's safety and performance standards.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert to influence long-term product roadmaps and strategic partnerships.
