Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer to develop P&L automation applications for various asset classes in New York, NY. This role focuses on improving efficiency and managing data lineage through time-critical applications. The engineer will guide developers in building innovative solutions while ensuring timely delivery of quality applications. The position involves collaboration with global teams using Agile methodologies and allows for telecommuting up to 2 days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in the position offered or as a Senior Manager, Project Manager, Senior Software Developer, or a related occupation.
- Five years of experience with Java, functional and reactive programming, SQL Server, Sybase, Informatica, DB2, MongoDB, and Spring Containers (with Spring Boot).
- Experience in building data-intensive and real-time applications, including scaling applications for multithreading, performance, maintainability, and robustness.
- Proficiency in XML, JSON, SOAP, REST Services, and developing REST APIs using Spring Boot.
Responsibilities
- Build P&L automation applications for various asset classes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper error handling and exception management in applications.
- Guide developers in creating innovative solutions and quality applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams using Agile methodologies.
- Manage time-critical applications and report or raise notifications as needed.
