Job description
The Civil Works Structural Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on providing innovative solutions for critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will work within a collaborative team environment, addressing challenges related to water management, resiliency, and disaster recovery. This position involves engaging with clients and government agencies to deliver award-winning engineering and design services. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to various Civil Works projects, including floodwalls and pump stations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
- At least 7 years of related Civil Works experience
- Professional Licensure, PE or Registered Architect (RA)
- Working knowledge of UFC design codes
- Experience with Civil - Hydraulics & Hydrology studies and infrastructure design
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and architectural design for Civil Works projects
- Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians
- Develop solutions for water management and disaster recovery challenges
- Create design packages including plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates
- Engage with clients and end users in Federal Civilian and Department of Defense agencies
