Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer to join their Services Group in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on collaborating with business and product partners to analyze data and develop software solutions using a lean-agile methodology. Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Requires three years of experience in the position offered or three years as a Software Developer, Software Application Developer, or a related occupation.
  • Requires three years of experience with formulating data models.
  • Requires three years of experience with Java, ETL tools including Informatica and Datastage, Python, and Spark.
  • Requires three years of experience with RDBMS systems including Oracle, MS-SQL, and Teradata.
  • Requires three years of experience handling Big Data in systems including Hadoop, HDFS, and Hive.
  • Requires experience with Agile methodologies, Shell scripts, Python scripts, and PySpark scripts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and product partners to understand business problems.
  • Analyze business data to formulate appropriate data models.
  • Participate in data system architecture and design discussions.
  • Develop software solutions in a lean-agile methodology.
  • Create technical documentation for the product.
  • Develop code to manage high volumes of data.
  • Derive solutions for data integration engineers using various ETL tools.
