Job description
Tesla is seeking a Product Support Engineer to develop automated diagnostic tools for their vehicle infotainment system. The role focuses on creating user-friendly diagnostic processes to enhance vehicle serviceability and customer experience. Candidates will work on innovative projects within a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in software engineering
- Expertise in Linux system and tool development
- Proficiency in shell scripting and high-level programming languages (Python, Ruby, Java, Go, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Profound understanding of diagnostic processes
- Creativity in solving unique technical challenges
- Experience with over-the-air (OTA) software updates and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine automated diagnostic processes and tools
- Create and maintain robust regression/validation frameworks for the diagnostic platform
- Balance diagnostic simplicity with regulatory compliance
- Innovate in automating complex vehicle diagnostics
- Equip service technicians with advanced tools and data for efficient vehicle diagnosis
- Analyze extensive data sets for predictive trends and actionable insights
