Job description
The Industrial Engineering Supervisor at Gigafactory Nevada leads a team of Industrial Engineering Technicians, collaborating with various cross-functional teams to enhance production processes. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, a background in high-volume manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years managing teams of people in a production environment
- Knowledge of production capacity and labor planning, 5S, lean manufacturing or 6-Sigma principles
- Proficient with MS office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), SQL, VBA, AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
- Experience selecting and developing new team members
Responsibilities
- Build and mentor a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high quality results against aggressive targets
- Allocate Industrial Engineering technicians across multiple business units and various technical requirements
- Drive highest quality work across multiple disciplines: work measurement accuracy; cycle time analysis, bottleneck identification and improvement, capacity analysis, labor analysis and planning, factory layout accuracy
- Maintain and track teams KPI’s, ensure technicians meet timelines and objectives
- Work cross-functionally with leadership to achieve project implementation
- Ensure teams’ safety training is current, document EHS incidents, proactively correct workplace hazards, and empower others to continuously improve operations
- Develop hiring, training, and career progression plans for the team, while increasing individual skillsets
