Job description
The Midwest Automation team at Tesla is seeking a software developer to build applications in C#/.NET and Angular for managing custom manufacturing equipment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and scalability while contributing to Tesla's mission of sustainable energy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience in the areas of C#/.NET and/or Angular
- Experience in software architecture
- Experience with event-driven, micro-service, and domain-driven design
- Experience with SQL, T-SQL & Entity Framework, modern web development, DevOps (especially Jenkins & Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
- Experience with Solidworks PDM and Eplan a plus
- Working knowledge of German a plus
- Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Build software applications in C#/.NET and Angular that manage custom equipment bill of materials
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and end users to translate business process requirements into functional software tools
- Develop software that enables the custom equipment team to manage all business applications 24/7
- Develop and maintain a clean and tested codebase
- Define development guidelines, introduce new technologies, document them, and train your project team
- Improve existing business database structures and design new ones
- Take the lead in coordinating with stakeholders and the team to develop innovative solutions
- Ability to travel domestically 10-20%, and internationally 1-2 times per year
