The Midwest Automation team at Tesla is seeking a software developer to build applications in C#/.NET and Angular for managing custom manufacturing equipment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and scalability while contributing to Tesla's mission of sustainable energy.

• 5+ years of working experience in the areas of C#/.NET and/or Angular
• Experience in software architecture
• Experience with event-driven, micro-service, and domain-driven design
• Experience with SQL, T-SQL & Entity Framework, modern web development, DevOps (especially Jenkins & Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
• Experience with Solidworks PDM and Eplan a plus
• Working knowledge of German a plus
• Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• Build software applications in C#/.NET and Angular that manage custom equipment bill of materials
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and end users to translate business process requirements into functional software tools
• Develop software that enables the custom equipment team to manage all business applications 24/7
• Develop and maintain a clean and tested codebase
• Define development guidelines, introduce new technologies, document them, and train your project team
• Improve existing business database structures and design new ones
• Take the lead in coordinating with stakeholders and the team to develop innovative solutions
• Ability to travel domestically 10-20%, and internationally 1-2 times per year
