Job description
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for overseeing complex engineering projects from planning to delivery, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong coordination among technical teams and stakeholders, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience managing engineering or capital projects
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-discipline teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil, controls)
- Strong knowledge of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, and change management
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure environments preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure setting
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams through all project phases, from early planning and design through construction and commissioning
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and vendors
- Manage project risks, changes, and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and company procedures
- Coordinate engineering deliverables, reviews, and approvals across disciplines
- Track and report project performance, including cost, schedule, scope, and key milestones
