Job description
The Service Design Engineering team at Tesla is seeking a skilled individual to drive the design-to-production of custom service and commissioning tooling for energy storage and charging solutions. This role involves defining engineering specifications, conducting root cause analysis, and integrating AI and tools to enhance service efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or service/process or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for complex data extraction and manipulation
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Strong proficiency in product, electromechanical systems, and complex troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Drive software and hardware tool specifications based on user feedback
- Specify software and firmware features to enhance service efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis of complex systems and mitigate failure modes
- Provide analytical insights that influence product and service designs
- Develop business cases for new technologies and operational strategies
- Drive cross-functional projects from hypothesis to validated solution
