Job description
Tesla is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for its Service Distribution Group. The role involves analyzing labor requirements, developing workforce plans, and implementing best practices to optimize labor resources in a warehousing environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Supply Chain Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience in warehouse management, materials management, or project management
- Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize warehouse processes
- Proficiency in creating and reading 2D layouts in AutoCAD
- Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SQL, Tableau, MOST Engineering standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
- Problem solving ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
Responsibilities
- Assess current labor productivity and performance metrics and analyze workforce data
- Develop and implement labor plans that align with operational goals and budget constraints
- Collaborate with stakeholder teams to maximize operational efficiency of the Warehouse team
- Manage continuous improvement resources to drive change through data and Engineering efforts
- Design and optimize material flow conveyance routes and facility layouts
- Manage issue resolution and develop corrective actions for process inefficiencies
- Develop and maintain material flow data/plans applying concepts of PDCA and Lean methodologies
