Job description
Meta is looking for a detail-oriented V&V engineer to join their humanoid robotics team. The role involves ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of humanoid robots through comprehensive verification and validation processes, requiring a deep understanding of complex electro-mechanical systems and safety-critical methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in a verification and validation role for complex, safety-critical systems
- Proven experience in developing sophisticated test environments, including full system integration testbeds and fully automated test cells
- Working knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849 or ISO 26262)
- Working knowledge of robotics-specific or autonomy standards such as ISO 13482, UL 3300, ISO 10218, UL4600 or ISO 21448
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the verification and validation lifecycle for the humanoid robot platform
- Develop and document comprehensive V&V plans, including test strategies, test cases, and test procedures
- Design, build, and maintain sophisticated test environments, including full system integration testbeds and fully automated test cells
- Establish and maintain clear traceability between system requirements, safety requirements, and V&V test cases
- Lead root cause analysis of failures and anomalies found during testing
- Develop, execute, and document the verification and validation testing required to demonstrate compliance with relevant industry standards
- Work in close collaboration with the functional safety, design, software, and systems integration teams
