Job description
As a Field Engineer at Tesla, you will play a vital role in the construction of a lithium refinery plant in Texas, engaging in the project from design to commissioning. This position requires collaboration across teams to address technical design issues, ensure quality installations, and promote safe work practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- High proficiency in Microsoft products, Bluebeam, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD
- Proficiency with iConstruct, Ansys, Inventor, Compress, Aconex, CADWorx Plant Professional, Revit, and STAAD is a bonus
- Proven ability to identify field issues and propose efficient solutions
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants)
- Previous experience on $200M+ projects, preferably with experience on both 'owner' and 'contractor' side
Responsibilities
- Complete constructability reviews
- Manage Request for Information (RFI) for both coordination and providing technical answers
- Execute purchases $100k and under and support purchase orders over $100k
- Complete and track value engineering efforts
- Standard and specification review and development
- Provide feedback on construction sequencing for your discipline
- Identify and provide a path of resolution to technical field issues as they arise in collaboration with engineering, applicable contractors, and other parties as required
