Job description

The Silicon Circuit Characterization Engineer at NVIDIA will work within the Silicon Solutions Engineering Team, focusing on productizing NVIDIA's chips for various applications. The role involves optimizing performance, power, yield, and quality through silicon bring-up and post-silicon characterization. The engineer will also be responsible for developing methodologies and tools to enhance execution efficiency while solving complex silicon and system-level problems. Collaboration with other engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, frequency and power characterization, and lab equipment.
  • Familiarity with Python, C/C++, tool and script development.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in silicon bring-up and post-silicon characterization of new silicon.
  • Build methodologies to characterize analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Design tools to improve execution efficiency for multiple products.
  • Find creative solutions to complex silicon and system-level problems.
  • Drive design improvements for future products based on lab findings.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns.
