Job description

The Senior Critical Infrastructure Network Engineer role at Microsoft focuses on delivering critical environments infrastructure for cloud services such as Azure, Office 365, and Xbox. Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR Master's Degree in the same fields with 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with 4+ years of experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
  • 1+ year of experience delivering network designs into production with live site accountability.
  • 5+ years of experience with network authentication systems such as TACACS+.
  • Possession of industry certifications within network engineering such as CCNP or CCIE Route & Switch.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis and lead the design architecture of network plans for the enterprise.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain network or security hardware and software as needed.
  • Participate in on-call DRI rotation to support Network Infrastructure services.
  • Oversee complex infrastructure network or security projects, including design, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Handle Layer 3 technologies and apply strong technical knowledge of enterprise networking solutions.
  • Monitor network system state using tools such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, and Telemetry.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and business personnel in the creation and turnover of solutions for production-level operations.
