Job description

This role is part of Apple's Camera Calibration and Test team, which is crucial for maintaining product quality across devices with built-in cameras. The position focuses on managing vendors and projects related to camera technology, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will engage with various technical areas, including CMOS image sensor testing and lens quality analysis. This role offers an opportunity to impact the quality of cameras in Apple products significantly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Color Science, Imaging Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in at least one of the following domains: CMOS Image Sensor Test or Validation, Lens quality analysis and testing, ATE, VCM Actuation and position sensor calibration and test, Image quality analysis, or Data analysis and visualization.
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Second-language skills in Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin Chinese are a notable asset.
  • Proficiency in managing a team of vendor members for specific tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage vendors and projects, overseeing all aspects of test maturity preparation.
  • Set priorities for Module Integrators and participate proactively in post-build FACA activities.
  • Work with Module Integrators to implement improvements, including enhancing tester UPH, retest rates, and efficiency.
  • Engage with a broad spectrum of technical areas rather than focusing on a single niche domain.
  • Review and modify source codes in MATLAB/Python.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
