Job description

NVIDIA’s GPU Architecture Group is seeking architects to design a proprietary profiler subsystem for GPUs, enhancing performance optimization through advanced profiling and monitoring tools. The role requires a blend of hardware modeling, verification skills, and a deep understanding of GPU architecture and application performance analysis. As part of a diverse team, you will contribute to innovative hardware profiling methods that drive AI performance. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of the AI revolution.

Requirements

  • Masters or PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in computer architecture, ASIC design/verification, or software development.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Solid foundation in computer architecture and hardware performance analysis.
  • Experience with performance modeling and hardware simulation, ideally using SystemC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a distributed interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and plan features in collaboration with software, hardware, and verification teams globally.
  • Build functional and performance models to refine and verify hardware designs.
  • Create test plans to validate the features designed and contribute to their implementation.
  • Continuously develop skills for practical innovation by enhancing understanding of AI workloads, GPU architecture, and profiling software.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
