Arcadis is seeking a motivated Senior Resident Engineer - SEM to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project, a significant infrastructure initiative in the United States. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and compliance of construction activities related to heavy civil engineering, particularly in excavation and tunneling. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence on this complex project. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 12 years of experience in heavy civil construction, focusing on large shafts, excavation, and tunneling projects.
- Preference for candidates with specific experience in Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) tunneling.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on construction progress, site conditions, and challenges encountered.
- Identify and resolve on-site engineering and construction issues as they arise, particularly those unique to excavation and SEM tunneling operations.
