Job description
The Principal Service Engineering Manager will lead the MSD M365 MultiTenant US engineering team, focusing on the operation, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 multitenant services. This high-impact leadership role involves defining technical priorities and driving operational excellence across complex services. The manager will collaborate with various teams, including the India MultiTenant team and security teams, to ensure reliable service operations. This position is based in Redmond with a hybrid work model, offering opportunities for innovation and growth within Microsoft.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls.
- 10+ years of service engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams.
- Deep experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and large scale service operations.
- Experience leading engineering for multitenant SaaS, M365, or large enterprise IT environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the MSD MultiTenant US engineering team by hiring, developing, calibrating, and retaining talent.
- Own technical direction and delivery across the MSD M365 MultiTenant program, including M365 administration and operational tooling.
- Partner with the India MultiTenant lead to operate as one global team with consistent engineering standards.
- Represent MSD MultiTenant to M365 partner teams and influence cross-org roadmaps.
- Drive engineering excellence through design reviews, telemetry, and incident response practices.
