Job description
The Technical Program Manager role at Apple involves engaging with supplier engineers and multi-functional teams to develop and deliver core technologies that enhance customer experiences. The team focuses on bridging Apple Design with supplier manufacturing processes, ensuring that technical risks are identified and mitigated for successful product ramp-up. Requirements
- 3+ years of technical experience in a high-tech industry with a solid understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline.
- Master's or PhD in a related Engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience with statistical and data analysis tools such as Tableau, JMP, SPC, FMEA, DOE, TA, DFM, and FlexSIM.
- Meaningful experience in introducing products into manufacturing or high volume production with Asia-based suppliers.
- Experience in ramping optical modules into high volume production is a large plus.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people with varying degrees of experience.
- Excellent project management skills with program or project management experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and presentation/communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage with supplier engineers and multi-functional teams to develop core technologies.
- Act as a link between Apple Design and supplier manufacturing processes.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with products.
- Collaborate with the New Production Introduction group and other teams to ensure product quality.
- Combine knowledge of optics, electronics, and manufacturing processes to deliver results.
