Job description
The Camera Optical Engineer will be part of the Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple, which focuses on the research, design, development, testing, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Optical Science, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience in lens design fundamentals.
- Master's or PhD with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
- Experience in lens design metrology and integration.
- Experience in lens design tolerance and stray light analysis.
- Experience in lens characterization methodology and instrumentation.
- Proficiency using an optical software package such as ZEMAX, CODE V, FRED, or LightTool.
- Ability to perform comprehensive optical and image quality characterization of the lens and the camera module.
- High energy multi-tasker with resourceful problem-solving abilities.
