Job description

The Display Hardware team is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation displays for Mac products. This role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation. The engineer will focus on integrating cutting-edge display technologies into new products. Candidates should be self-driven and passionate about hardware development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Experience in mixed-signal EE design at either IC or PCB level is necessary.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools like SPICE or MATLAB for circuit/math analysis and modeling is required.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and failure analysis is essential.
  • Familiarity with full ECAD workflow for schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM generation is needed.
  • Skills in scripting, factory data processing, or test automation, along with programming experience in Python, Shell script, or MATLAB are required.
  • Experience in consumer electronics and high-volume production is preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern display technologies such as LCD, TFT, OLED, and LED is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop factory test plans and manage manufacturer partners to conduct data collection.
  • Analyze large-scale data to ensure product quality and performance.
  • Communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teams.
  • Collaborate with team members to innovate and craft new hardware solutions.
  • Conduct EE validation and characterization tasks using lab equipment and test automation.
