The Apple Services Analytics Engineering QA team focuses on ensuring the quality and integrity of customer experience data across various Apple services. They are seeking Mid-level Data Test Automation Engineers who will develop automated testing tools for near real-time and batch data pipeline systems. This role emphasizes improving data quality and learning cutting-edge tools and technologies. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with engineering teams to enhance Apple’s data-driven products.
Requirements
- BS/BA/MS/MA/PhD degree in any of the STEM majors.
- 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as HDFS, AWS, Spark, and Kafka.
- 5+ years of knowledge in Python, Java, and/or Scala.
- 5+ years of experience with Big Data query tools like Hive and SparkSQL.
- 5+ years of experience with near real-time and batch data pipelines.
- 5+ years of experience in data migrations, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Understand near real-time and batch data pipeline systems developed by engineering teams.
- Carry out data profiling and understand schema, data interrelationships, and data flows.
- Document test plans and write test case automation.
- Work closely with other teams for bug reporting and isolation.
- Implement automated tests for NRT and batch data pipelines using QA automation tools.
- Automate UI testing for iOS devices.
- Demonstrate excellent bug reporting skills and communicate clearly with third parties.
- Lead junior team members and contribute in a team environment.
