AWS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Solutions team, which focuses on innovation in Mechanical Cooling and Controls systems for data centers. This role involves collaborating with a global engineering team to improve Mechanical infrastructure products and ensure their operational success. The engineer will engage in product lifecycle management, working closely with product development teams and global suppliers. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical projects that enhance AWS's data center capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience developing Mechanical and/or Mechanical Cooling Products.
- 8+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.
- Knowledge of critical data center or mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Mechanical infrastructure support to AWS data centers.
- Collaborate with product development teams to understand product facets during development and testing.
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
- Work with global mechanical equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
- Support operations including failure mode and root cause analysis.
