This role is for a Senior Software Engineer on the AWS RDS for SQL Server team, focusing on simplifying SQL Server deployments in the cloud. The team is responsible for high availability, automated failover, and lifecycle management systems that ensure minimal interruption for customers. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with the full software development life cycle
Responsibilities
- Design and operate highly available distributed systems that serve production customer workloads at scale
- Define strategy in ambiguity and design long-term solutions using sound judgment
