• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#
• 3+ years of experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Provide subject matter expertise in big data pipeline architecture and data foundations for personalization and recommendation systems.
• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete system deliverables.
• Build new platform services from the ground up.
• Drive the development of innovative approaches to personalization.
• Mentor other engineers and influence technical strategy.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code is written.
