Job description

The AWS EC2 Nitro team is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop new EC2 machine learning platforms. This role involves collaboration with various technical teams focused on hardware, firmware, systems, and application software. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and expertise in C/C++ or Rust within a Linux environment. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 3+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive development for new EC2 machine learning platforms
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop hardware, firmware, systems, and application software
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and source control management
  • Participate in automated build processes and software unit testing
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of new systems
