The AWS EC2 Nitro team is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop new EC2 machine learning platforms. This role involves working with diverse technical teams to optimize hardware, firmware, and software for high-performance training and inference workloads. The position offers opportunities to influence product strategy and solve complex performance optimization challenges at scale. Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Drive development for new EC2 machine learning platforms
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop hardware, firmware, and application software
- Work across the full technology stack from low-level hardware optimization to high-level frameworks
- Solve complex performance optimization problems at massive scale
- Influence product strategy and make significant impacts on cloud computing infrastructure
