Job description
As a SOC Design and Integration Engineer in Apple's Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips (SoCs). Your work will ensure that Apple products can effectively handle complex tasks, enhancing user experience for millions. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to integrate complex IPs and support front-end integration activities. This position requires a deep understanding of chip development processes and effective communication across internal groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of experience in SOC design and integration.
- Hands-on experience in all aspects of the chip development process with proficiency in front-end tools and methodologies.
- Experience writing specifications and converting them to design.
- Experience with multiple clock domains and asynchronous interfaces.
- Experience with AMBA Fabric architecture (AXI, AHB, APB) is required.
- Experience with formal verification techniques is desirable.
- Knowledge of system architecture, CPU & IP integration, and power and clock management designs is desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all internal groups.
- Familiarity with software and operating concepts is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Write microarchitecture and/or design specifications.
- Design, implement, and debug complex logic designs.
- Integrate complex IPs into the SOC.
- Support all front-end integration activities like Lint, CDC, Synthesis, and ECO.
- Work with other engineers that are members of the SOC Design, SOC Design Verification, Emulation, Formal verification, STA, and Physical Design teams.
- Collaborate with software and systems teams to ensure a high-quality end product.
