The Lead Embedded Software Engineer will join KLA's RAPID division, focusing on the design and development of complex embedded software for reticle inspection systems. This role requires strong technical leadership and mentoring of junior engineers while contributing to the architecture of real-time control systems. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated solutions and drive best practices in software development. Requirements
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, or similar fields.
- 8+ years of working experience in embedded software development.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming and Object-Oriented Design.
- Experience with Linux/RTOS environments and multi-threading.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Serial-RS232 and Ethernet.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of software for machine control in semiconductor inspection systems.
- Architect and implement robust software for system control and high-speed data acquisition.
- Collaborate with engineers in mechanical, electrical, and optical disciplines to build integrated solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a team environment focused on technical excellence.
- Champion modern software development methodologies to ensure quality and efficiency.
