Job description
The Engineering Director for Data Center Hardware at Google will set the technical vision and lead the execution for next-generation compute and machine learning infrastructure. This role involves integrating complex ASICs, TPUs, GPUs, and advanced networking hardware into the data center roadmap. The position requires a leader with extensive experience in high-velocity hardware development and a deep understanding of deployment challenges at hyperscale. The successful candidate will guide cross-functional teams and ensure hardware reliability to meet global infrastructure demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, System Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in hardware development, systems engineering, or architecture within a high-velocity environment.
- Experience evaluating, managing, and partnering with JDMs and CMs to bring hardware to market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the systems engineering strategy for next-generation data center hardware.
- Drive products from architecture through to volume production and deployment.
- Steer technical engagements and partnerships with JDMs and CMs for high-quality manufacturing.
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority on system-level performance.
- Elevate engineering standards across the organization and provide mentorship to senior engineers.
