In this role, you will join the AWS Hardware Engineering team, focusing on the Solid-State Drive (SSD) team to lead the ideation, design, and implementation of new automation capabilities. You will work collaboratively with engineers across the company to enhance the quality and performance of SSD components used in various AWS server platforms. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality SSDs that integrate seamlessly into customer products while fostering long-term partnerships. You will have ownership of your work and see direct product improvements based on your contributions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop automation to improve SSD components' quality used in New Product Introductions and sustaining fleet servers.
- Implement software best practices and author requirement documents for new architecture.
- Publish comprehensive design documents along with trade-offs and conduct software development and testing.
- Build diagnostic tools for continuous monitoring of SSD components.
- Design tools, tests, and infrastructure that are future-proof, scalable, and stable.
