The Customer Engineer for Federal Civilian Agencies at Google Public Sector will work closely with technical sales teams to showcase the capabilities of Google Cloud to prospective and existing customers. This role focuses on developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to address business challenges while engaging with various stakeholders. The engineer will leverage their expertise to troubleshoot technical issues and assist in the migration of applications to cloud platforms. This position emphasizes building relationships and understanding customer needs in the public sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience with GenAI use cases, or deploying custom AI applications.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities while understanding key customer technical objections.
- Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with customers.
- Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and application infrastructure for successful implementation.
- Lead prospecting and acquisition of new customers, establishing trusted advisor relationships.
