Job description

The Quantitative UX Researcher role at Google focuses on investigating user behavior to enhance ad experiences on Google Search. This position requires collaboration with Engineering and Product Management teams to drive impactful research using empirical methods. The researcher will leverage expertise in behavioral and data science to inform product decisions and improve user experience. The role also emphasizes mentorship and community within the Quant UXR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting.
  • Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go.
  • Experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, statistical analysis, and survey methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Set and drive an original research agenda to advance understanding of user interactions with Google's products.
  • Investigate user behavior, user experience, and user needs using quantitative research methods such as logs analysis, survey research, and regression analysis.
  • Combine skills in experimental design, statistical methods, and programming to improve user experience and extract meaningful patterns from large data sets.
  • Work with stakeholders across functions and levels to have impact at all stages of product development.
