Job description

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Identity team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and innovate identity, authentication, and authorization solutions for AWS. This role involves working on mission-critical projects and mentoring junior team members while collaborating with talented engineers. Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services

Responsibilities

  • Create and collaborate in the design, implementation, and deployment of systems and services
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions
  • Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns
