The Network Infrastructure Engineer role at AWS focuses on building and scaling Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions as part of the Infrastructure Operations team. The team is responsible for maintaining the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks while collaborating with various stakeholders. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment, addressing challenges related to network systems and capacity management. This position requires a strong emphasis on communication, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
- 3+ years of vendor management experience
- 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- Experience in construction or project management
Responsibilities
- Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
- Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
- Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
- Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and collaborate with various stakeholders.
