Job description

The Senior Systems Development Engineer will be part of the AI & Strategic Partner Engineering team within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization. This role focuses on creating solutions that enhance the adoption of SAP workloads on AWS, ensuring resilience and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will leverage deep technical skills in SAP applications and cloud computing to solve complex distributed system challenges. Requirements

  • 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 6+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Expertise in SAP Domain including SAP ABAP programming language skills and knowledge of SAP systems architecture
  • Experience building with AI/ML technologies including large language models and generative AI
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, and databases
  • Experience with both SAP's agentic technologies and AWS AI services

Responsibilities

  • Own the team's systems end-to-end, identifying risks and setting engineering standards.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain distributed system software for SAP workloads on AWS.
  • Create and manage AI agents for operational tasks such as debugging and infrastructure management.
  • Design operational patterns that leverage AI for monitoring and incident response.
  • Lead architecture and operational reviews, influencing roadmaps through data.
  • Build detailed technical specifications and document decisions for future teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and performance.
