The Software Development Engineer role on the core experiences team at Amazon Fire TV focuses on enhancing the Live TV experience by integrating traditional broadcasting with streaming technology. The team is responsible for building critical components that power live television viewing across Fire TV devices. Candidates will tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative software applications that improve customer experiences. This position offers the opportunity to influence key engineering and business decisions that align with Amazon's long-term vision.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Responsibilities
- Design and implement products that enable video service partners to surface and promote content as part of the Live TV integrated experience
- Investigate, prototype, and deliver new and innovative software applications
- Deliver high quality software in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment
- Drive key engineering and business decisions that impact Amazon’s long-term vision
