Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a senior research engineer to develop innovative video search technologies for applications in Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, and Medical fields. This role emphasizes technical innovation and collaboration to enhance dataset search platforms for physical AI developers. The engineer will work on redefining search capabilities within NVIDIA's product offerings, impacting major companies in the Physical AI sector. The position requires expertise in video retrieval and machine learning, along with a commitment to advancing AI technologies.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of job experience in computer vision, video retrieval, machine learning, or equivalent experience.
  • Current with the latest research on image and video search in autonomous vehicles, healthcare, robotics, or related physical AI applications.
  • Fluent with agentic AI workflows across the full applied research lifecycle.
  • Excellent experience in training and optimizing models.
  • Excellent experience with PyTorch.
  • Record of developing high quality Python code in large projects.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate innovative video search approaches at exabyte scale.
  • Benchmark and be an expert on state of the art video retrieval methods.
  • Partner with researchers to develop and evaluate prototypes of models for image and video search.
  • Collaborate within a large and dynamic codebase to build robust physical AI dataset search workflows.
  • Collaborate with research, model development, performance, and product teams.
  • Use agentic AI workflows across the full applied research lifecycle.
  • Contribute to NVIDIA Cosmos Dataset Search and other core NVIDIA platforms and products.
