Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Deep Learning Architect to enhance AI infrastructure by modeling and simulating complex system-level traffic for agentic LLM workloads. The role involves building simulations, analyzing performance, and guiding architectural decisions for next-generation datacenter and GPU systems. Candidates should have a strong quantitative background and a passion for performance analysis in AI systems. This position offers the opportunity to work with talented engineers on impactful problems.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a MS or PhD in CS, EE, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Solid foundations in queueing theory and traffic modeling.
  • Strong statistics background with experience in characterizing large datasets.
  • Understanding of deep learning fundamentals and modern inference serving frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend C++ and Python simulators for modeling system-level network and compute traffic.
  • Characterize real-world LLM serving workloads and create representative simulator inputs.
  • Run simulations at scale and apply statistical techniques for result interpretation.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and provide architectural recommendations.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and research teams to influence AI system design.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
