Job description

As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will leverage your technical skills to provide high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will work within a defined geographical area, troubleshooting and solving straightforward problems while ensuring the availability of IT infrastructure. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to manage local technical projects, contributing to continuous improvement in IT solutions. You will also interact with management and staff to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
  • 2+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining a corporate network environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of computer networking experience.
  • Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
  • Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
  • Manage local technical projects effectively.
  • Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Support customers from multiple buildings in the area as well as remote customers.
  • Travel within the local or regional area to support customers.
