Amazon is looking for a Support Engineer to join the Amazon Alexa data team, focusing on Large Language Models (LLM) and enhancing customer experience through defect and feedback triage. The ideal candidate will have a strong machine learning background and experience in building Generative AI solutions. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to tackle challenging problems. The Support Engineer will play a key role in identifying system improvements and delivering high-quality data outputs.

Requirements

  • Experience scripting in modern programming languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, and JSON

Responsibilities

  • Build a thorough understanding of system components and behaviors to address improvements.
  • Identify and escalate system defects, trends, and opportunities for system improvement.
  • Collect information to satisfy investigation requirements and create relevant reports and recommendations.
  • Deliver high-quality data output under tight deadlines for unique data analysis requests.
  • Dive deep into ambiguous issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvements to reduce handling time and enhance customer solutions.
  • Quickly understand changes in response to customer requests and adjust workflows accordingly.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to re-prioritization as necessary.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
