The Staff Front-End CAD Engineer role at Google focuses on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in VLSI design, software development, front-end CAD or EDA tool development.
• Experience writing production scripts (such as Python/Tcl) for CAD tools.
• Experience with front-end design tools, such as lint, CDC/RDC, or simulation tools and HDL design languages.

• Develop front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects in various domains.
• Work with design teams to understand requirements and enable scalable and efficient CAD solutions.
• Drive EDA vendors to improve their tools to deliver custom solutions for Google.
• Understand VLSI design with excellent software skills.
