Job description
The Staff Front-End CAD Engineer role at Google focuses on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. As part of the Front-End CAD team, you will leverage your expertise in VLSI design and software development to create efficient CAD tools and flows for custom SoCs. This position involves collaboration with design teams to understand their needs and improve design quality and productivity. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in VLSI design, software development, front-end CAD or EDA tool development.
- Experience writing production scripts (such as Python/Tcl) for CAD tools.
- Experience with front-end design tools, such as lint, CDC/RDC, or simulation tools and HDL design languages.
Responsibilities
- Develop front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects in various domains.
- Work with design teams to understand requirements and enable scalable and efficient CAD solutions.
- Drive EDA vendors to improve their tools to deliver custom solutions for Google.
- Understand VLSI design with excellent software skills.
