Job description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive experience architecting, building, and maintaining mission-critical distributed systems at large scales
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and trade-offs in consistency, latency, and throughput
  • Experience using generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Deep hands-on software development expertise with Java or Kotlin and Spring
  • Strong experience designing for containerization and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Significant time spent architecting, building, and operating cloud-native applications with resilience and self-healing features
  • Expertise in designing robust CI/CD pipelines and defining infrastructure as code
  • Extensive experience with observability strategies and tools like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Deep understanding of modern networking and experience using traffic tools for tracing and debugging
  • Fundamental appreciation for security, privacy, and cryptography
  • Hands-on experience optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases for scale
  • Domain knowledge of the utility industry, electrical grid, or renewable energy
