Job description
This role involves working with a world-class modem/RF team to develop innovative embedded firmware for cellular technologies. The focus is on enhancing performance and integrating improved hardware elements into cohesive designs. You will collaborate with various product development groups to push the boundaries of wireless systems and improve customer experiences. The position offers the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge 5G technologies and explore the engineering process from multiple perspectives.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in bring up or performance characterization of wireless systems focusing on the PHY and RF layers.
- Hands-on experience with cellular chipsets.
- Solid understanding of communication theory and signal processing.
- Knowledge of RF performance metrics such as EVM and spectral mask.
- Good experience with Python, C/C++, and Matlab.
Responsibilities
- Work on the bringup of the cellular end-to-end system including RF and system performance optimization.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to validate data and control flows from Baseband to RF.
- Measure, prioritize, and analyze important metrics data in the lab.
- Conduct pre-silicon emulation-based bringup and validation of the cellular system.
- Support and maintain high-quality daily firmware releases.
